The Global GameJam Was Hosted by StartGate!

In our adventure filled with games, we received applications from over 150 brave travellers. We called 80 heroes, and 60 game masters joined this adventure-packed journey. Sixteen tremendous teams, developing games filled with fun, came together under the guidance of the stars in the sky.The main theme for StartGate Global Game Jam '24, selected by The Global Game Jam, was 'Make Me Laugh.' This theme aimed to inspire creativity and joy in game development. To add depth and challenge, we introduced 'Quality Education' as a sub-theme, aligned with the fourth goal of the UN's sustainable development goals. This goal focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Game masters were not only asked to make people laugh but also to create games that raise awareness about the importance of quality education, masterfully intertwining fun with a powerful message.Our jury and mentor team, as knowledgeable and experienced as Merlin, guided the projects wonderfully and supported the participants' sparkling journeys! 🚀
